What we publish, and what we keep to ourselves.

Season standings on this website show a rider’s first name and the initial of her last name, her hometown, her horse’s name, her placing and her points. We publish the initial rather than the full surname on purpose: a rider and her family can find her, and a stranger cannot assemble a child’s full name, age and town from a public page.

Nothing else about a rider appears on this website. Dates of birth, contact details, payment records and entry paperwork are not published anywhere on it.

This website collects nothing. There is no form to fill in, no account to create and no newsletter to join. Everything we hold was given to us another way — on a membership application, in an email, or over the phone when a rider enters a show.

That information is a rider’s name, age or date of birth, hometown, horse, the shows she entered and what she paid, and a parent or guardian’s contact details. We use it to run the association: to place a rider in the right class, to keep points, to work out year-end awards, and to reach a family when we need to.

Only the people who run Cowbelle. Access is limited to named people, and entry and payment records cannot be read without it.

We give the producer of a show the entry list for that show, because they need it to run the day. We do not sell rider information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Photographs taken at Cowbelle shows may appear on this website and on our social media. We ask for a parent or guardian’s permission on the membership application before publishing a photograph of a rider. If you would rather your daughter did not appear, tell us — it is not a problem, and we will not ask why.

This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Nobody is followed around the internet for having read it. A cookie is set only when somebody signs in to the admin side, and only to keep them signed in.

Every Cowbelle rider is a child — the oldest division is 13-14. We do not ask children for information through this website, and a child cannot sign up for anything on it. Everything we hold about a rider came from a parent or guardian, and that is the only way it reaches us.

Email or call and we will sort it out. You can ask us what we hold about your rider, ask us to correct it, ask for her name to be shortened further or taken off the standings, or ask us to delete what we hold when she is no longer a member.

Taking a rider off the published standings does not remove her points. We keep the record so year-end awards stay correct; it simply stops her appearing on the page.
